Marjorie & Zach | Baby Shower

Marjorie got in touch with me a while back about doing some baby photos when she had her baby. I told her that I'd love to get some maternity photos of her first, though! She graciously accepted the offer and invited me to photograph her very beautiful, classy baby shower. It was a hot, but gorgeous day. These were all taken at her hubby's parent's house. They were wonderful sports and a joy to photograph!

Wildlife Prairie Park

My mom and I decided to go to Wildlife Prairie Park and get some excersize and see if I could get any good photos! It was a really nice day to go to the park. They're redoing a lot of the exhibits, but we didn't mind the dust. I was really wanting to get some good ones of the wolves (my favorite animal), but they stayed pretty far away in the shade most the time. Overall, I really enjoy going to WPP. It's not like a zoo, it's more like a sanctuary for all the natural Illinois residents.

August & Sanibel | Pet Session

One of my good friends, Brooke, asked me about taking photos of her and her sister's dog. I was more than happy to get some shots of their beloved canines. August, the husky, couldn't stay clean, though, and found something to roll in and get all over his face. He's still cute, at least. Sanibel, the yellow lab, had lots of fun fetching sticks out of the water during the session, too.

2012 HOI Fair Poster | Graphic Design

I've enjoyed going to 105.7 the X's shows at the HOI Fair for a few years now, so it was really exciting that I got to design this years poster. We'll have Pop Evil and Saving Abel headlining on two different nights. I cannot wait for these shows! I'll be running all over the place taking photos of the concert, as well as the Sexy Xies and the Xers!

The Miller logo was added last minute, if you can't tell. I couldn't find a proper place for it... I'm going to keep things like that in mind for next time.

Peoria Photography Meetup Group | PAWS

This was my first event for the Peoria Photography Meetup Group that I attended and was behind the camera. Before, I modeled for the group, which was a lot of fun.

I was so excited when I saw this event, though. I've been wanting to go to an animal shelter and take photos of the animals for a long, long time. I love animals and have always been an animal lover. There are some times when I definitely prefer the company of animals to other people. A better photo of the animals at the Peoria Animal Welfare Shelter could mean the difference between getting adopted and not getting adopted.

It was just a great event, overall. Jen, the organizer, was great and super helpful. Actually, everybody was super helpful and friendly. I can't wait for the next event, especially a return visit to PAWS.
