A few weeks ago, Mike the owner of Switchbitch got in touch with me and asked if I'd be interested in helping design a new layout for his record label and studio website. I was happy to help and we knocked out the whole thing in one weekend. Not too shabby, right? Switchbitch has some artists and affiliates that you might be familiar with if you've seen my past work, like The Venetia Fair and Flannel Mouth. So excited for the Spring Fling in May! I've been dying to talk about it haha. We've got Stone Sour, Papa Roach, Sick Puppies, All That Remains, and In This Moment! Nutcracker 12 Poster | Graphic Design

This is the 12th annual Avanti's Nutcracker poster that WIXO 105.7 the X had me design. They pretty much gave me free reign over the design. I was inspired by the movie Nightmare Before Christmas. I found an awesome font on dafont called 'Christmas on Crack,' which was perfect! Still very rock, but with a Christmas twist!

It's going to be a kickass show with Adelitas Way, Mindset Evolution, Texas Hippie Coalition, and Otherwise. You can purchase tickets at all Co-op Records locations in Central Illinois! See you there!

Marilyn Manson & Rob Zombie Poster | Graphic Design

I took it upon myself to design a poster for the upcoming Marilyn Manson/Rob Zombie concert in Moline on October, 13th. 105.7 the X hadn't asked me to, but I figured I'd at least get something to add to my portfolio if nothing else. I wanted it to be scary and just scream Halloween! After I was all finished, they liked it so much that they went ahead and had it printed up and displayed!

I'm so excited for this show! I've been a Manson fan for a long time now (his greatest hits CD is one of my favorites) and I just know this will be an awesome show with him and Zombie! We're working on getting me a photo pass. I'm crossing my fingers! Even if I don't end up with one, it'll still be a great night!

105.7 the X T-Shirt | Graphic Design

We are currently out of t-shirts at the 105.7 the X studios, so I've been doing some designs trying to find the right one. The favorite so far has been the whiskey shirt! This is a popular shirt among band merch, so I figured that X listeners would appreciate it, as well. AND it's unisex! As a longtime female 105.7 the X fan, I thought that this was definitely a plus!

 

Hopefully we'll be giving these out at remote stops at some point!

2012 HOI Fair Poster | Graphic Design

I've enjoyed going to 105.7 the X's shows at the HOI Fair for a few years now, so it was really exciting that I got to design this years poster. We'll have Pop Evil and Saving Abel headlining on two different nights. I cannot wait for these shows! I'll be running all over the place taking photos of the concert, as well as the Sexy Xies and the Xers!

The Miller logo was added last minute, if you can't tell. I couldn't find a proper place for it... I'm going to keep things like that in mind for next time.

Halestorm Poster | Graphic Design

At work, they decided to put my skills to the test and have me design a Halestorm poster for our show in July. They've already got posters up, but they wanted to see what I would've done with it. I wanted it clean and simple, with the focus really on the fact that this is 105.7 the X's show.

They ended up loving the design a lot! I was told to start thinking about ideas for the HOI Fair posters! Stay tuned!
